Brandon Rodgers is co-founder and also serves as the Chief Operations Officer of the Youth Enrichment Association, Inc. He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, but now resides in Pittsburgh. He moved to Pittsburgh in 2016 to study business and education at Point Park University, where he currently serves as a project manager and advisor to the Black Student Union. During his time at Point Park, Mr. Rodgers was hired as an Involvement Coordinator in the Office of Student Activities and Administrative Coordinator of the Campus Activities Board. He also served as President of the university's Black Student Union for two years. Outside of campus, Mr. Rodgers taught pre-kindergarten, served as an Assistant Director, Program Coordinator, Education Support Associate, and Achievement Coach at various Pittsburgh nonprofits. Through his small business, Rodgers Inc., he provides consultation services for small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and start-ups in areas such as establishment, operations, marketing/P.R., and diversity, equity, and inclusion, amongst other things.
Mr. Rodgers now has over 10 years working with youth and developing youth programs. Most Recently, he became Co-Founder and Managing Partner of BLT Restaurant Group. Mr. Rodgers likes to spend his spare time with his son, Braydon, binge-watching tv shows, and traveling with, hosting, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
Amirah Hunt is a native of Pittsburgh who has worked in the education and counseling field for the past 10 years. Amirah currently works as a school counselor for the Pittsburgh Public School District and volunteers her time as a Professional mental health counselor at the Mt. Ararat Counseling Center. Amirah is passionate about helping others see beyond their current obstacles to achieve academic, social/ emotional and career success.

Claude Flowers is co-founder and also serves as the Executive Director of the Youth Enrichment Association, Inc. Claude is a Pittsburgh native and grew up in the Stanton Heights neighborhood. He brings over 10 years of experience working with youth in nonprofit settings and has held positions within numerous youth organizations throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Aside from youth work, Claude is a professional musician and the former Music Director at Mount Ararat Baptist Church.
Rev. Dr. T. Charles Howell IV has served in numerous capacities in the city of Pittsburgh. His experience has been primarily working to expand equity and opportunity through education, vocation and ministry for under-served populations in Allegheny County.
Dr. Howell is the current Director of Workforce Development and Financial Coaching for Mon Valley Initiative. He also works alongside his wife as co-owner and pastoral counselor at Agape Wellness Centre.
Marvin is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. His professional expertise is in voice and data network architecture. In his role he supports the UPMC Enterprise and Urban Hospitals of Pittsburgh. He also manages the Mount Ararat Baptist Church network where he also serves as a musician. Marvin holds a B.S. in Systems and Industrial Engineering, B.S. in Computer Information Science and Master of Science in Information Science. He also holds professional level certifications in Avaya, Cisco and Nokia.
J.R. Jones serves as the Social Security & Medicare Liaison to the Office of Congresswoman Summer Lee. He has committed his life to service and helping others. He is excited to be apart of the YEA Board of Directors!
Larette McCoy is a Community School Site Manager at Pittsburgh Lincoln PreK-5. She has been employed with Homewood Children's Village for the past 7 years. HCV serves as the lead agency at Pittsburgh Lincoln PreK-5. Community-based organizations serve as lead partners in community schools, helping to mobilize community assets and coordinate community schools’ resources, in cooperation with school staff, stakeholders and partnerships in and around the region. Larette works directly with the school principal and community school leadership team and is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, operation, and supervision of extended-day, extended-year, and the other supplemental and supportive services offered at Pittsburgh Lincoln. Before becoming a Site Manager Larette served as a Family Advocate coordinating resources and services for Lincoln families and acting as a liaison between families, school staff and community agencies.
Larette is passionate and has the ability to prioritize work and still successfully facilitate multiple projects. She enjoys community engagement and says that collaborating amongst peers helps her to understand who she is as a learner. She has experience in resource coordination, strategic planning, monthly reporting, program coordination and facilitating meetings. She has helped to organize various community events. In 2019 she hosted a Community School Health Fair in conjunction with partners at Lincoln.
